GENERAL RULES

1. All vehicles will be radio controlled and shall have a truck, car or tractor body attached in such a way as to resemble a full size pulling vehicle.  The vehicle must be scaled to a size that looks appropriate for the wheelbase of the given class.

2. Vehicles can be electric or gas powered.  (See individual class rules).

3. The pulling track surface shall consist of dirt.  The distance from the starting line to the finish line will be 30 feet with a default line marked at 120 inches (10 feet) from the start line.  The track will measure 48 inches in width and will have no less than 5 foot of shutdown area after the finish line.

4. All sanctioned events will consist of 3 rounds of pulling and will have 1 or more pull off rounds as needed to determine a winner of each class.

5. Order of pullers will be determined by a random drawing of numbers.

6. Start and finish of each pull will be determined by the Head Track Official or a person appointed by the Head Track Official.  A pull is considered finished when the vehicle has no forward motion or is ordered to stop by a Track Official.  Each pull will have a time limit of 30 seconds.

7. A puller will have the option in the first round to restart his pull if he stops before the sled touches the default line.  If the momentum of the sled causes you to go past the default line the Track Official will make a judgment call if a legitimate attempt to stop was made.  If the vehicle is judged to have stopped it will have the option to restart the pull immediately or the puller will be allowed to drop back 6 places if adjustments or repairs need to be made.  If there are not 6 vehicles behind the puller a 5 minute time limit will be used.  Any vehicle that cannot return after 6 pullers or within the time limit will be disqualified from that round.  The Event Director will decide if restarts will be allowed in any or all pull off rounds.

8. Distance pulled will be measured by a Track Official.  Measurement will be taken from the front center of the sled skid plate to the back edge of the start line.

9. Ties will be broken by adding more weight to the sled and all vehicles involved will re-pull.  Batteries may be recharged and adjustments or repairs may be made to all vehicles.

10. If the track conditions are deemed sufficient, a “floating finish line” may be used in the pull-off round. This means the measurement will be taken wherever the vehicle stops. If this is used, any contact with the side walls will be a disqualification even if the pull is past the 30 foot line.

11. If during a pull a vehicle flips over, goes out of bounds or looses any part larger than ½” square before the finish line, no measurement will be taken and that vehicle will be disqualified from that round.  The sled itself can pass over the out of bound line and no penalty will be taken.

12. Decisions made by the Event Director are final and cannot be overruled.  The Track and Tech Officials will be as fair as possible in any and all situations.  There will be NO VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE directed towards any Event Director, Track Official or Tech Official.  NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed during event hours.  If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be disqualified from all remaining rounds of pulling and you will be asked to leave the event.  No refunds of entry fees will be made.
